This also includes your communication skills – team work is crucial for this run! If one of you doesn’t hear the other for one crucial second – be it a warning of a new danger, call for a specific action to be taken, request for something, this one second can turn into a much longer delay if you die. Don’t use push-to-talk, don’t use voice detection unless it works absolutely flawlessly, make sure your connection is stable. With higher speed settings, the 10 seconds you spend reading stats on a new item actually count as more than that in-game. I can’t stress this enough: higher speeds also speed up the in-game clock so always keep it at normal! Why is this important? Because you will need to read item descriptions, browse through the stores, and do other activities that cost you real-world time. If you’re used to just spamming LMB and watching how your Harbinger grinds mobs to dust – this will be much harder. Your characters will be significantly under-equipped for the most part of this run and fights will be hard. If you need to stare at 2 items for a minute to decide which one to pick – you’ll probably fail this. This means not only the world map, but also: quest scenarios (where to go and who to talk to), enemies and bosses (where to expect whom, what they hit you with), etc. And I am sad to have this opinion, but I cannot feel other. It is Steam fault of course, who enforces us to play with auto-updates thus we cannot block it completely on a certain game.Īnd no, I did not write this to troll on the community, it is just an opinion. That would be great if we can access it (refactor to this version) officially. Therefore I think, the best version of Titan Quest is still the Ragnarök 1.57. The Atlantis is an odd-one-out amongst the other expansions. Even when the bugs are completely sweeped out, I just cannot get into buying it. But here everything like this is not there. In the original Acts even the non-quest dungeons were much bigger and there were more loot containers in it.

When I went in the first Catacomb I was soo excited to have a side-quest in it, or even a big underground map would be amazing, but it was a half-minute trip, with 8 mummies down there. The only I liked about it, were the QoL improvements, that is holy good. Even the new unique weapons and armors seem to have random (not really thought out) stats on them. Not bad, but just does not fit in Titan Quest world with all those reskinned and overused objects/creatures, which are soo rarely packed here and there. It would not be a matter, if with these bugs came with a very good Act, but Atlantis is as shallow as it can be. And this is after more than 8 patches since release.

Not to mention the stability went crazy since this dlc. I just cannot bear with it: relics cannot be put together, crashing when change any of settings. Unfortunately, the most common bugs were happen to appear like in 2006 the very first version of the game. I thought, that with patches after the initial Atlantis release bugs will be fixed, and I was very happy about the long changelog I seen. Ragnarök feels so more complex both content and story wise, it just more loveable. It seems to me, that Atlantis is an optional short-quest, with not much of a story, it was rushed. I played on a friend computer to decide buy or not. When Ragnarök released I just shocked literally.īUT I am somehow reluctant to play since the Atlantis expansion, if it can be called as an expansion pack. I just love this game, the top ARPG in my eyes. I am very fond of Titan Quest, just look at my gameplay hours and the other 1000s hours not recorded because of gog version.
